Hello hello Sassy friends! Our May moodboard got my creative juices flowing with the image of the girl, glitter and butterflies so I'm back with you today to share this layout of my stunning niece using Simple Stories 'DIY' Collection. Silhouette users, there are a couple of tips included for you as well!I've made one of the 'DIY Foundations' pockets, the central element on the page. It serves as a place to hold my journalling as well as a base for the title area. These DIY Boutique insta frames have been so much fun to work with. You can pop them straight onto cards, layouts or use them in your PL spreads.
There are a couple of Simple Stories cut files on this page too, used in different ways.I didn't want the butterflies to be cut out 100%, just enough to add a bit of fun and dimension... So I have tweaked the file in Silhouette Studio and removed parts of the cut line and converted them to a perforated line instead.

You can do this by ungrouping and/or releasing any compound paths and then, using the knife tool, cut selected areas. Then, go into your cut file settings and adjust the various parts of your design. The word 'fabulous' is also a Simple Stories cut file that I have used on a trace setting with the Silhouette pen holder tool. I've fillled in the middle with a Pilot Frixon pen, which actually disappears with heat. I've played around with erasing the bottom of the word.Thank you so much for popping in, I hope you will give some of these ideas a go (and enter your creations into our challenge!)
Till next timeChantalle
