I diluted the yellow mermaid marker with water before applying it onto my filler card... applying the colour in various strengths to create a more interesting look, then used an ink applicator to add black ink over one of the stencils before adding a sentiment from the sticker pack along with a couple of puffy stickers.
Using more painted backgrounds paired with a repeated pattern from the stamp set... I like the contrast of the bright colours with the graphic black and white elements in this collection.
Using no patterned paper was a little bit daunting at first, but the more I played the more I liked that it gave me the ability to chose any colours I wanted!
The mermaid marker can also be used for stamping and applying ink over a wet background creates some interesting results.
Although the watercolour stickers from this collection are made to be coloured, I decided to leave the large numbers white to help them to stand out against my painted background.
