Agnus | Project Life - Shimelle Go Now Go

As always, I began the month with a custom made title card which turned into a cute little scene that I pieced together using a mix of papers, die-cuts and glitter thickers from the range.
I incorporated some hand stitching with metallic embroidery floss from my stash to frame a couple of the photos, and love they way it brings out the copper glitter in the foam thickers.
I added more stitching by poking holes around one of the go thickers while it was still on the backing sheet, then used this to create a template which I positioned over my card and used a simple back stitch to sew on the words then added a few drops of Ranger distress stain spray in the copper colour along with one of the acetate die-cuts from the ephemera pack to create a fun filler card.
I often use pockets to hold movie tickets, and look for complementary patterns to hold the memorabilia.
Moving onto the second week, you can see that I repeated many of the same patterns from the first page and this month I cut all of my smaller photos down a fraction so that I could back each one with patterned paper and like the additional colour it brought to the pages.
One of my favourite filler cards was the easiest one to make, using just a splatter of distress stain spray, one of the larger thicker words and a tiny paper tag.
I hand stitched a frame directly onto the photo in this pocket, adding another acetate die-cut and word strip.
Although I have mainly used printed journal strips for this spread, the story of how my little guy ended up with a black eye during a trip to Kmart required a longer story so I printed out the story and used it to create a little tag that slides between the photo and patterned backing.
More glitter thickers (can you tell that I loved them yet?) and a couple of die-cut pieces and my week was complete.
